A universal Pilling and Snagging Tester drive system with 2 or 4 positions to rapidly replicate pilling or snagging on fabrics in a fraction of the time due to normal wear.

The SDL Atlas ICI Pilling & Snagging Tester can be used on both woven and knitted fabrics.

The tester features a counter that stops the machine after a pre-determined number of revolutions.

By means of a precise drive system, the drums/boxes are rotated at speeds between 20 rpm to 70 rpm around a horizontal axis. Each drum/box contains samples mounted on the sample tubes. 60 rpm should be selected for all non Marks and Spencer testing. The drum/box can be set to rotate in either one single direction or in a reversing action.After a specified period, the samples are removed from the tubes and Assessed.
